About Us

When it comes to your family, you need more than someone you can trust. You need a Pediatric dentist who understands the challenges and rewards of parenting.

You need someone who has been there.

Our staff is dedicated to the well-being and dental health of your entire family. After all, many of us are parents ourselves! We treat your children and teenagers with the same care and concern that we would treat our own family.

As the mother of three active children, Dr. Schafft also understands that being a parent means juggling hectic schedules. Sometimes you may feel like a taxi, taking your kids to and from soccer practice, music lessons or other extracurricular activities.

We serve your family with the latest state-of-the-art dental technology paired with an environment that is welcoming, relaxing, and kid-friendly.

We encourage you to schedule a visit and meet our staff. We look forward to serving your whole family, and we’ll be glad to answer any questions you may have, because we’ll care for your family as if they were our own.

Meet Dr. Schafft

Dr. Mina Schafft was born in Managua, Nicaragua, where she learned about the value of kind, compassionate care—values that transcend borders. For 18 years, she has called Massachusetts home, but she still carries the inspirational influence of her father everywhere she goes.

“My father, who is also a physician, has been one of the most influential individuals in my life. He’s always been my biggest mentor. Therefore, I’ve always wanted to be in the health care profession,” she said. “I’ve always wanted to work with children because of their candor and innocence. Through his guidance, I discovered that dentistry was a great profession to pursue because it gave me the opportunity to have a career and also be a mother. Instinctively, I chose pediatric dentistry because it had the trifecta of all the things I desired in my career.”

Previously, she worked at South Shore Children’s Dentistry and Pediatric Dental Associates.

“One of my most rewarding experiences as a dentist was participating in a dental mission trip to Siuna, Nicaragua through Bridges to Community Organization. I went with my team leader from dental school and group of doctors’ medical students,” she said. “I want to do service missions whenever possible.”

Dr. Schafft has three children—Logan, Christian and Gabriela. When she isn’t keeping up with these “little superheroes,” she enjoys cooking and exercising.
